Growing up on a small rural farm in Danville, Iowa. My name is Olivia Freitag your Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa 2025. I am the 16-year-old daughter of Ryan and Shauna Freitag along with my two younger brothers Carson and Lincoln. I am currently a junior at Danville Community High School and a consecutive honor roll student. After high school, I would like to pursue a degree in nursing and eventually pursue work as a geriatric nurse practitioner. Throughout my career as a rodeo queen, visiting nursing homes has grown my respect and love for the geriatric health profession.
Staying involved and giving back to my community is very important to me. I stay active in multiple non-profit and local community organizations. I am currently serving as the Danville FFA chapter's Vice President. Through FFA I strive to spread the importance of agriculture whether I am helping lead projects with the elementary students or competing at the regional or state conference. FFA has been instrumental in helping me become the person I am today. I am also involved in my local church, volunteer with our local hospice, and have been a member of the Fort Madison Saddle Club and Iowa High School Rodeo Association. Where I compete in barrel racing. Throughout high school rodeo, I have not only made friends, but a lifelong rodeo family.
I am proud to share that I am a first-generation cowgirl who has spent most of my junior high and high school years competing in local rodeo events. Although I have loved horses for as long as I can remember, it wasn’t until I received horse lessons as a Christmas present that horses became a permanent part of my life. After getting my first naughty little paint pony when I was 11 years old, I competed in the Des Moines County Fair through 4-H and continued to improve my horsemanship skills through local horse shows. Since then, I have competed in larger rodeos and barrel races through associations including NHSRA, NBHA, and the local Fort Madison Saddle Club. I have recently qualified as a NBHA youth world finalist. Without the support from my family and friends helping me achieve my big dreams and wild goals, I wouldn't be the horsewoman I am today.
I am eager and excited to represent the state of Iowa as your Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa 2025. I look forward to promoting the sport of rodeo and the Western way of life. As a little girl, I remember looking up to the girls in shiny crowns and beautiful chaps riding into the arena and hoping to be like them one day. I feel incredibly blessed and honored to have this opportunity. I strive to be a good influence and inspire little cowgirls and cowboys to chase their dreams, no matter how big they may seem because I am proof that dreams really can come true.
